Facilitating from Presence – The Power of Reflective Listening
October 20 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm CEST
As we are, we are deeply conditioned to believe that we are present and awake … and yet, we are not. What we are without knowing it is identified with the conditioned voices in the head, or ego. These conditioned voices are like a computer program we adopted over time and came to believe they are simply us thinking. In this session Sharon and Ulla will share how the ego voices scramble our communication and keep us from being present to our authentic self.
To assist us in being present when preparing for interaction with others Ulla will engage us in a physical centering practice that brings awareness to the body, based on Wendy Palmer’s Leadership Embodiment work.
As a result of this session you will:
- Be more aware of the inner voices of conditioned mind,
- Understand the importance of being present,
- Learn the practice of communicating from presence, and
- Learn a physical centering practice to prepare yourselves before working with others

Ulla Wyckoff Tomlinson became a CPF in 2008 and has maintained her credential since then. She facilitates Leadership Teams and organizations in Strategic Planning, Team Development and Culture Change in Jamaica and the Caribbean. Ulla is passionate about engaging the hearts and minds of her clients and participants so that they connect on a human level rather than as representatives of their organizational roles to create a better future together.
A “Leadership Embodiment” workshop generated her understanding for the fact that “how we sit and stand can change the way we think and speak”. Ulla will share a short centering practice from Wendy Palmer’s Leadership Embodiment work.
