BUILDING FACILITATION COMPETENCIES

September 15 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm CEST

Facilitation skills have become strategic in many professions and organizations. How does facilitation work and what distinguishes it from training or mainstream group management? What distinguishes the facilitated approach to meeting management? What are the core competencies of facilitators’ approach? What are the key features of facilitative leadership?

This session, organized as part of the Facilitation Week events, is dedicated to exploring these issues and outlining what are the 6 typical areas of competence of a facilitator – as codified by the IAF – The International Association of Facilitators.

The International Association of Facilitators (IAF) is a participatory organisation with members in more than 65 countries. As a professional association, the IAF has set internationally accepted industry standards, provide accreditation, support a community of practice, advocate and educate on the power of facilitation and embrace the diversity of facilitators.

The event is organised in collaboration with AFLEX – the African Leadership Excellence Academy.
