You want to get people talking. Great! People like you have been experimenting with ways to bring people into dialogue and sharing their results – creating more ENGAGEMENT, better IDEAS, and faster PROGRESS. If you’re curious about improving conversations, why not experiment?
• Rethink the questions you ask.
• Be more present for those around you.
• Find more meaning in your exchanges.
This is one of the hundreds of DIALOGUE EXPERIMENTS we’ve been running. After each, we ask people what helped or hindered their discussion. Patterns emerge – some universal, some unique to the situation – either way, these patterns are one of the keys to improvement.
We think conversations need to stay personal; we don’t prescribe any generic formulas – we simply share the approaches that enhance conversations, and let you experiment. When improving dialogue, it’s not enough to simply know the behaviours that work; you need try them out and get feedback. More at: www.stimulatingconversation.org and @SharingDialogue.
BONUS: Add your feedback to this ongoing research dialogue and get our Tiny Book of Dialogue.
