๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐Ÿพ Smell Your Way Home ๐Ÿ’—: Experimental exploration to disarm shame and activate inner wisdom

September 13, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am CEST

What if…..Hansel and Gretel did not leave bread crumbs, but used nature elements in the forest as scent-based communication to get their way home?

Imagine having your own library of smell when you get overwhelmed. Your own scent-based communication kit as a morse code to yourself: scents to get you grounded and move to a different state of mind.

This experiential session is inspired by olfactory art by Maki Ueda and insights from Polyvagal Theory (work by Deb Dana, Jan Winhall & Stephen Porges) and Nirali Shah on shame. The experimental design is close to my heart as I love bringing playfulness and invisible senses in shadow work as a channel for individuals to transform.

In this 90-minute session, you can expect:
โ€‹๐Ÿต๏ธ one round of โ€˜turn of your neighborโ€™ at the start. โ“Exploring question: โ€˜๐Ÿ‘ƒWhat smells like ‘homeโ€™ for you?โ€˜: 8 minutes
โ€‹๐Ÿต๏ธโ€‹ one round of story triad for 10 minutes. โ“ Exploring question: โ€œShare a memory that involves a time when you were fascinated by a particular smell.โ€™
โ€‹๐Ÿต๏ธone round of story triad for 10 minutes, folx have the choice to share either muted or unmuted โ“ Example exploring question: “How did this exercise land on you?

Please SKIP this session if you:

โŒ prefer a confrontational and sharp style of personal development (type drill sergeant)

โŒย believe that shaming and blaming are the only way to motivate folks to improve

โŒย want a quick fix to lifelong problems

โŒย would rather shove uncomfortable feelings somewhere unseen and unloved

โŒย get the creeps from nonlinear and irrational approaches
